Your driver's license

Bring a valid driver's license — either your Honduran license or a valid license from your home country. The name on the license should match the name on your reservation. If your license isn't in Spanish or English, it's a good idea to also bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside it; not all our locations will require one, but it can make things faster if you're driving outside the city.

A passport or photo ID

Foreign visitors should bring a valid passport. Honduran residents can use a national ID card (tarjeta de identidad). We'll ask to see this alongside your license when you pick up the car.

A credit card for the security deposit

A valid credit card in the renter's own name is required to place a security deposit hold at pickup — this is standard practice across rental agencies in Honduras. The hold is released after the car is returned in the condition it was rented in. If you only have a debit card, contact us before booking so we can let you know your options.

Minimum age

Renters generally need to be at least 21 years old, though this can vary by vehicle category — some larger trucks and SUVs may have a higher minimum age or a young-driver surcharge. Let us know your age and the vehicle you're interested in when you book, and we'll confirm the exact requirement.

Your reservation confirmation

Having your booking reference handy (from your confirmation email or page) speeds up pickup, though it's not strictly required — we can also look up your reservation by name.

Good to know

Requirements can vary slightly depending on the vehicle and location, so if anything above doesn't match your situation — you're a first-time visitor with an unusual license, traveling with a group, or renting for a longer trip — just reach out on WhatsApp before you book and we'll walk you through exactly what to bring.
